National Low Income Housing Coalition/LIHIS - National organization dedicated to ending America's affordable housing crisis; includes publications, extensive links, and frequently asked questions about housing.
National Housing Conference and affiliated Center for Housing Policy - A nonpartisan housing advocacy organization and research center offering publications, affordable housing clearinghouse, and news.

National Housing Institute - The National Housing Institute is a nonprofit organization that examines the issues causing the crisis in housing with an emphasis on housing and economic development, as well as poverty and racism, disinvestment and lack of employment, and breakdown of the social fabric. The NHI site provides past and current issues of their newsletter "Shelterforce," as well as policy alerts, research and reports.
