Request for Qualifications - Phone System Replacement Project, Information Technology Department

Project Description: The City of Kirkland is seeking a telecommunications consultant that will provide the following services as part of our phone system replacement project by assisting with: creation of an RFP, implementation planning, vendor/product selection, and high level project management, e.g. review technical documents and specifications, assist in contract negotiations, assist with project management on an as-needed basis, etc.

The City’s current phone system consists of a Nortel PBX with Meridian voicemail, 10 key systems to remote locations, and various other OPX/OPS, digital and analog services. Upon selection, the City will provide the successful candidate with a high-level set of requirements and an inventory of the current system. This project is currently scheduled to be completed by the end of 2003.

Submittal Requirements:
Each submittal must include:

  1. A brief letter of introduction.
  2. A statement of qualifications and relevant experience, the project manager, and individuals who will be involved in the project.
  3. A general description of the firm’s proposed approach to the project including roles and responsibilities of the firm and individuals that will be undertaking the project, and the approximate amount of time for each piece of the project (see the four services noted above.
  4. The statement of qualifications must identify resumes of the individual personnel who will be performing this work, and hourly rate of pay for all personnel involved.
  5. A list of three to five references that provides the name of the client, current addresses and phone number. VoIP references preferred.
  6. List experience with installing VoIP phone systems.
  7. List of vendors firm is or has been affiliated with and the related phone system(s).
  8. Samples of similar work (can be returned).

The deadline for submittals of qualifications is 4:00 P.M. March 14, 2003.
