Request for Statement of Qualifications for Critical Area and Comprehensive
Plan Review and Update
The City of Burien is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified consulting firms or individuals to assist the city with the following activities in 2002:
- Review and update of existing critical area policies and regulations for conformance with "best available science." Critical areas in Burien include geologically hazardous areas, wetlands, streams, and fish & wildlife habitat areas.
- Review and update of the City's 1997 Comprehensive Plan to comply with the Growth Management Act, and to accommodate revised 20-year growth projections, including but not limited to the land use, capital facilities and transportation elements.
After review of the Statements of Qualification, the City may select one or more firms or individuals to submit specific proposals for the requested activities. Work is anticipated to begin in January 2002.
Interested firms or individuals shall deliver or mail five (5) paper copies of their Statement of Qualifications indicating how they are qualified to perform the activities requested above to:
