A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDMOND, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR FILING A LEASE APPLICATION FOR THE LOCATION OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES ON CITY PROPERTY.

WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Master Telecommunications Ordinance, Ordinance No. 1927, that establishes, among other things, the requirements for telecommunications carriers' and providers' use of city property; and

WHEREAS, the City of Redmond recognizes the importance of recouping its expenses for reviewing proposals from telecommunications providers and carriers for the leasing of city property for the location of telecommunications facilities; now, therefore,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDMOND, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Definitions. For the purpose of this resolution, and the interpretation and enforcement thereof, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings:

"City property" shall have the same meaning provided by Ordinance No. 1927 of the City of Redmond.

"Telecommunications facilities" shall have the same meaning provided by Ordinance No. 1927 of the City of Redmond.

Section 2. Fee for Filing a Lease Application for the Location of Telecommunications Facilities on City Property. Two thousand dollars ($2,000) is hereby adopted as the fee for filing a lease application for the location of telecommunications facilities on city property.

RESOLVED this 1st day of April, 1997.
