A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDMOND, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CERTAIN CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS AND TO GRANT FINAL ACCEPTANCE FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that administrative convenience would be best served by allowing t he Mayor to approve certain small contracts for public works and by allowing the- Mayor to grant final acceptance to certain small public works contracts, now, therefore,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDMOND, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Authority to Execute Public Works Contracts. Within budgetary limitations and without the need for further approval from the Council, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute contracts for the performance of public works, where the total cost of the work does not exceed $35,000, if more than one craft or trade is involved with the project, or $20,000, if only a single craft or trade is involved with the project.

Section 3. Acceptance of Public Works Projects. The Mayor is hereby authorized to grant final acceptance for all public works projects where the total cost of the project does not exceed $35,000 if more than one craft or trade is involved in the project, or $20,000, if only one craft or trade is involved in the project. No further Council approval shall be required.
