A RESOLUTION CREATING CERTAIN FEES RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND CABLE RIGHTS-OF-WAY USE AUTHORIZATIONS BY LICENSES OR FRANCHISES

WHEREAS, by its adoption of the telecommunications ordinance the Lacey City Council authorized the collection of certain fees for the application for and renewal of licenses and franchises for telecommunications and cable purposes; and

WHEREAS, there is a cost to receive, process, negotiate, and issue telecommunications and cable licenses and franchises; and

WHEREAS, Section 1.20.010 of the Lacey Municipal Code requires that certain fees and charges be established by resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LACEY, that the following fees for telecommunication right-of-way use authorization applications and renewsals and facilities leases and renewals are created:

Telecommunications license $1,000

Renewal of telecommunications license 500

Telecommunications franchise 3,000

Telecommunications franchise renewal 1,500

Cable franchise 4,000

Cable franchise renewal 2,000
