RESOLUTION NO. 1235
A RESOLUTION appointing an agent to receive claims for tort damages.
WHEREAS, RCW 4.96.02(2) was recently amended to require the governing body of all local governmental entities to appoint an agent to receive claims made against the entity for damages arising out of its alleged tortious conduct:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Friday Harbor that the Town Clerk shall be and hereby is appointed as agent for the Town of Friday Harbor, to receive any claim made against the Town for alleged tortious conduct by the Town or its past or present officers, employees or volunteers, said agent to be available at 60 Second Street in Friday Harbor during the Town's normal business hours.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be immediately recorded with the Auditor of San Juan County.
ADOPTED this 2nd day of August 2001.
