The public official bonds of certain elected officials and employees of Whatcom County named herein shall be fixed in the following sums:

2.55.010 Established. (Effective January 1, 1994)
A. The public official bonds of certain elected officials and employees of Whatcom County named herein shall be fixed in the following sums:
Court Clerk 200,000
Treasurer 200,000
Executive 200,000
B. All other Whatcom County employees shall be covered by a blanket bond policy with loss limits of $50,000 per occurrence subject to a $500.00 deductible per occurrence. (Ord. 93-042 Exh. D; Ord. 90-60; Ord. 89-42; Ord. 88-34; Ord. 85-73; Ord. 84-43; Ord. 80-57 § 1).
2.55.020 Form and payment.
Such surety bonds shall be in form joint and several and made payable to Whatcom County or the state as may be required by law. (Ord. 93-042 Exh. D; Ord. 80-57 § 2).
2.55.030 Purchasing authority.
The tort claims division of the prosecuting attorney’s office shall have sole authority to purchase the bonds, at the lowest possible expense in conformance with funds from the premium category of the tort claims, settlement, defense and judgment fund. (Ord. 93-042 Exh. D; Ord. 80-57 § 3).
