What components must competency testing
include? Competency testing must include the following
components:
(1) Skills demonstration of ability to perform and/or
implement specific caregiving approaches, and/or activities as
appropriate for the training;
(2) Written evaluation to show level of comprehension and
knowledge of the learning outcomes for the training; and
(3) A scoring guide for the tester with clearly stated
criteria and minimum proficiency standards.
