Provide shields or guards on metal lathes for chip or
coolant hazards

Safeguard work-holding devices (chucks)

Follow these requirements for chip control and handling

Safeguard power-clamping devices

Restrain extended workpieces on horizontal lathes

WOODWORKING LATHES
Guard cutting heads on profile lathes and swing-head
lathes
