Follow these stopping limit
requirements for calenders.
You must:
• Make sure that calenders are stopped within one and
three-quarters percent of the fastest speed at which they
operate when empty.
– When calenders operate at more than two hundred fifty
feet per minute, stopping distances above one and
three-quarters percent of their fastest speed are allowed, but
must have engineering support.
