Transfer records when ceasing to do
business. You must:
• Transfer all material safety data sheets (MSDSs) as
exposure records to the successor employer, who must do the
following to these records:
– Received
– Preserve
– Keep unchanged
• If there is no successor to receive and preserve the
employee exposure records:
– Notify affected current employees of their rights of
access to records at least 3 months prior to the cessation of the
employer's business
and
– Transfer the records to the department, if required by a
specific WISHA safety and health rule.
