WAC 296-307-32041
What requirements apply to
lockout/tagout during shift changes? During shift or
personnel changes, you must ensure that employees follow
specific procedures to ensure the continuity of lockout or
tagout protection. The procedures must include orderly
transfer of lockout or tagout protection between off-going and
oncoming employees, to minimize exposure to hazards from the
unexpected energization or start up of the machine or
equipment, or release of stored energy.
