When does the department require a
local building official to sign off for the installation of
LULAs, stair lifts, inclined wheelchair lifts and vertical
wheelchair lifts? In existing buildings where LULAs, stair
lifts, inclined wheelchair lifts and vertical wheelchair lifts
are to be installed, the local building official must signify
that he/she is allowing this type of conveyance on a form
provided by the department.
EXEMPTION:
Residential conveyances are exempt from this section.
