Advisory committee on conveyances. (1)
The purpose of the advisory committee is to advise the
department on the adoption of regulations that apply to
conveyances; methods of enforcing and administering the
elevator law, chapter 70.87 RCW; and matters of concern to the
conveyance industry and to the individual installers, owners
and users of conveyances.
(2) The advisory committee consists of seven members
appointed by the director or his or her authorized
representative.
(3) The committee members shall serve four years.
However, if a member is unable to fulfill his or her
obligations, a new member may be appointed.
(4) The committee shall meet on the third Tuesday of
February, May, August, and November of each year, and at other
times at the discretion of the chief of the elevator section.
(5) The chief of the elevator section shall be the
secretary for the advisory committee.
(6) An advisory committee member may appoint an alternate
to attend meetings in case of conflict or illness.
