WAC 296-06-130
Denials of records requests. The public
records officer and his or her designees have the power to
deny a request for public records. Denials must include:
• The reason for the denial.
• A statement of any exemption that authorizes the denial
of the record.
• A brief explanation of how the exemption applies to the
withheld record.
• The signature of the public records officer or their
designee.
