WAC 296-05-457
Exemptions. A sponsor may request an
exemption from Part D of these rules. The request may ask
exemption from all of the section or from selected ones. The
request must be in writing and must be addressed to the
apprenticeship supervisor. It must explain why an exemption is
needed. An exemption may be granted either by the WSATC or by
the secretary of the United States Department of Labor, but can
only be granted for good cause. If the WSATC approves an
exemption that affects a substantial number of employers, it must
notify the United States Department of Labor explaining why the
exemption was allowed.
