WAC 246-359-130
Stop work orders. (1) The department,
upon notifying the applicant in writing, will order work to be
stopped when the work being done is found to be contrary to:
(a) The approved plans;
(b) The requirements of this chapter; or
(c) Other laws or ordinances required and necessary to
enforce this chapter at a minimum as stated in WAC 246-359-005(4), applicability.
(2) If the department finds work being done contrary to
subsection (1) of this section the department, in addition to
notifying the applicant in writing, will post a "stop work order"
on the construction site.
(3) The applicant is prohibited from continuing any work or
causing any work to be performed until solutions to rectify the
conditions causing the stop work order have been approved by the
department.
(4) The department will document removal of the stop work
order by:
(a) Providing the applicant written authorization to proceed
with the work; and
(b) Removing or causing the "stop work order" to be removed.
