WAC 246-335-140
License required. (1) A person must
possess a current license issued by the department before
advertising, operating, managing, conducting, opening or
maintaining a hospice care center.
(2) Prior to being issued a license as a hospice care
center, an applicant must:
(a) Be licensed as an in-home services agency licensed to
provide hospice services;
(b) Obtain a certificate of need under chapter 70.38 RCW;
(c) Complete the construction review process;
(d) Receive a certificate of occupancy by local building
officials;
(e) Submit a completed application and appropriate fee;
(f) Develop policies and procedures addressing the
content of this chapter; and
(g) Meet the requirements of this chapter as determined
by an initial survey completed by the department.
