WAC 246-232-020
Types of licenses. Licenses for
radioactive materials are of two types: General and specific.
(1) General licenses provided in chapter 246-233 WAC are
effective without the filing of applications with the
department or the issuance of licensing documents to the
particular persons, although registration or the filing of a
certificate with the department may be required by the
particular general license. The general licensee is subject
to all other applicable portions of these regulations and any
limitations of the general license.
(2) Specific licenses require the submission of an
application to the department and the issuance of a licensing
document by the department. The licensee is subject to all
applicable portions of these regulations as well as any
limitations specified in the licensing document. (See chapter 246-235 WAC.)
