WAC 182-26-405
Appeals -- Who may appeal a HIP decision? The HIP will accept appeals from an appealing party. For the
purposes of this chapter, "appealing party" means:
(1) A participating small employer or small employer who
has been denied enrollment in the HIP;
(2) An eligible partnership participant or applicant; or
(3) A third party on the behalf of the person listed in
subsection (1) or (2) of this section, as long as the HIP has
authorization from the person appealing. The authorization
must:
• Be in writing; and
• Verify that the third party represents the person
appealing, and that the HIP can share the person's HIP account
information with the third party.
