Right to due process. Students subject to
disciplinary action by the college are entitled to a hearing, the
procedures for which guarantee that the student will receive fair
treatment, and which allow the college to take appropriate
action. Pending action on college or civil charges, the status
of a student will not be altered, or his or her right to be
present on the campus and to attend classes suspended, except for
reasons relating to his physical or emotional safety and
well-being, or for reasons relating to the safety and well-being
of students, staff or college property.
