WAC 132P-160-020
Admission. Any applicant for admission
to Yakima Valley Community College shall be admitted when, as
determined by the chief administrative officer of the district
or his authorized representative, such applicant:
(1) Is competent to profit from the curricular offerings
of the college; and
(2) Would not, by his presence or conduct, create a
disruptive atmosphere within the college inconsistent with the
purposes of the institution; and
(3) Is eighteen years of age or older or who has a high
school diploma or GED; and
(4) Has submitted a complete Washington state community
college admission application.
Yakima Valley Community College applicants are admitted
on a first-come, first-served basis in accordance with state
law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, certain special
procedures must be followed for students under the age of
eighteen, selective admission programs, former students,
veterans, and international students. These special
procedures are published in the college catalog.
Placement testing or other professional assessments are
generally required. Placement procedures and policies are
