Function of the review committee. (1) The
review committee will establish procedures for review and
possible revision of these rules.
(2) All proposed amendments shall be submitted to the chief
judicial affairs officer, who will send copies of each proposal
to members of the review committee for their consideration. The
review committee will hear and consider all proposed amendments
and publish proposed recommendations for review by the college
community through a public forum. The assistance of the
college's assigned assistant attorney general may be used as
appropriate throughout the review process.
(3) After review by the college community, the committee
shall make its final recommendations. These recommendations
shall be offered for review to ASCC, faculty senate, and student
issues and policy council. The review committee shall make any
adjustments or reconsideration. The resulting recommendations
shall then go to the college council.
(4) After completion of the above steps, the recommendations
for revision of these rules shall be made by the college council
to the president, who, upon his or her approval, shall recommend
these rules to the board of trustees.
(5) Upon approval of the board of trustees, the new rules
shall be submitted to the code reviser. After successful
completion of the code revision process, the WAC rules are
enforceable and immediately shall be published and made available
to the college community.
