WAC 132L-120-030
Jurisdiction. (1) Centralia College has
jurisdiction to take appropriate disciplinary action when student
conduct, either on or off campus, is detrimental to the
institution.
(2) This code applies to every student whenever the student
is present on or in any college or college-controlled facility.
This code also applies whenever the student is present at, or
engaged in, any college-sponsored or college-connected program,
activity, or event that is held on or in noncollege facilities.
The code also applies whenever a student is representing the
college. Consistent with the constitutional rights of all
students, this code also applies to any student off campus when
the college can reasonably show a relationship to its mission and
interests such as maintaining good order, protecting the health,
safety, or welfare of the college community, preserving the
teaching-learning environment, or preserving its good name and
relationships with society and the larger community.
(3) College employees, students, and members of the public
who breach or aid or abet another in the breach of any provision
of this code shall be subject to:
(a) Possible prosecution under the state criminal law;
(b) Restriction from any college property or
college-controlled facilities, the violation of which could
result in criminal trespass;
(c) Any other civil or criminal remedies available to the
public; or
(d) Appropriate disciplinary action pursuant to this code,
the state of Washington higher education personnel board rules,
or the college's personnel policies, regulations, or negotiated
agreements.
