Right to outside speakers. (1) Any
recognized student organization, after written notification to
the dean for student programs as prescribed herein, may invite
a speaker to the college, subject to any restraints imposed by
law.
(2) The appearance of an invited speaker at the college
does not represent an endorsement, either implicit or
explicit, by the college.
(3) The scheduling of facilities for hearing invited
speakers shall be made through the college conference and
scheduling office.
(4) The dean for student programs must be notified in
writing at least four academic days prior to the appearance of
an invited speaker. Notification shall include time, location
and sponsoring organization. An exception to the four day
notification requirement may be made by the dean for student
programs or the vice-president for marketing and student
development.
(5) All speakers shall allow time, insofar as
circumstances reasonably permit, for a question and answer
session.
