WAC 132B-120-170
Student conduct committee. The student
conduct committee, convened for that purpose, will hear, (de
novo means that the matter will be considered anew as if it
had not been heard before and as if no decision had been
previously rendered), and make recommendations on all
disciplinary cases referred to it by the appropriate authority
or appealed to it by student(s). The committee will be
composed of the following persons:
(1) A member appointed by the president of the college
who shall serve as chair;
(2) Two members of the faculty, appointed by the
president of the faculty association;
(3) Two representatives from the student body, appointed by the student government (ASGHC)
president.
None of the above-named persons shall sit on any case in
which he/she has a complaint or witness, in which he/she has a
direct or personal interest, or in which he/she has acted
previously in an advisory or official capacity. Decisions in
this regard, including the selection of alternates, shall be
made by the disciplinary committee as a whole.
In hearings before the committee, an assistant attorney
general may be requested to assist the committee.
