WAC 132A-350-045
Definitions. (1) Academic adjustment
means modifications to academic requirements as necessary to
ensure that such requirements do not discriminate against
students with disabilities or have the effect of excluding a
student solely on the basis of a disability.
(2) Individual with a disability is a student, employee,
applicant, or visitor who has a physical, mental or sensory
impairment that substantially limits one or more major life
activities, has a record of such an impairment, is perceived to
have such an impairment, or has an abnormal condition that is
capable of being medically diagnosed.
(3) Reasonable accommodations means modifications or
adjustments to academic procedures and job or work environment,
policies, or practices that enable qualified individuals with
disabilities to enjoy equal opportunities.
