WAC 131-16-040
Disability retirement provisions for plan
participants. The appointing authority may approve the
retirement of any participant for reasons of health or
permanent disability either upon the request of the participant or the
participant's supervisor: Provided, That reasonable
consideration is first given to the written recommendations of
the employee's personal physician or, if requested by either
the employee or the appointing authority, a review of such
recommendations by another physician appointed by mutual
agreement for that purpose.
