Electrical fixture maintenance workers. For the purpose of chapter 39.12 RCW, Washington state prevailing
wage law, the prevailing wage for electrical fixture maintenance
worker is required for the following work:
Cleaning of all types of lighting fixtures, luminous
ceilings, all types of diffused areas and ceiling lighting. The
work also includes replacement of lamps, ballasts, sockets and
the installation of energy efficiency upgrades. This work must
be limited to nonresidential fixture bodies, but may also include
replacement or retrofitting of remote located ballasts with
approved products.
Work beyond that which is described above must be paid at
another electrical classification such as inside wireman
electrician or residential electrician. Electrical fixture
maintenance worker does not include installation of new fixtures
or branch circuits, movement or relocation of existing fixtures,
or alteration of existing branch circuits.
