1.03.010 Adoption of Seal.

The corporate seal is two inches in diameter, depicting in the center the skyline of the city in relief against the backdrop of Mount Spokane with the Spokane River in the foreground, bearing on the upper border the words “City of Spokane,” and bearing on the lower border the word “Washington.”

1.03.020 Use of Seal.

A.  The city clerk is the custodian of the official seal of the City. The clerk affixes the seal to official documents executed on behalf of the City to certify or authenticate such documents.

B.  No person, including an officer or employee of the City, may affix the official seal or any facsimile thereof to any documents except as authorized and in accordance with law. This section, however, does not prohibit the adoption and use of unofficial seals, logos, trademarks, or other identifying symbols to be used in the conduct of the business of the City.
