Lodging Tax Advisory CommitteeSections:

Pursuant to RCW 67.28.1817 there is established a lodging tax advisory committee to review and comment to the city council on any proposal to:
A. increase the rate of,
B. repeal an exemption from, or
C. change the use of revenue received from
the special excise tax upon the furnishing of lodging authorized by RCW 67.28.180 (the hotel/motel tax).

4.30.020 Membership.
The committee consists of seven members nominated by the mayor and appointed by the city council. The membership is comprised of:
A. three representatives of businesses required to collect the tax;
B. three persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by the revenue from the tax; and
C. one member of the city council, who shall chair the committee.
