10.08.010   County roads generally.

The maximum lawful speed limit, established by RCW 46.61.400, may be altered after approval by the board of County commissioners when based on engineering and traffic investigation, and becomes effective when posted by the County engineer as provided in RCW 46.61.415. 10.08.020   Construction or work on roads.

Whenever the condition of any road, or work in the construction, repair or maintenance thereof, may be under way, the County road engineer may erect signs at the termini of such portion of said road indicating a lesser speed limit than provided in this chapter, and, while such work is being done, and said signs are so posted, the lesser speed limit so declared shall be the maximum speed limit allowed on said portion of said road. 10.08.030   Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to the penalties contained in SJCC 1.16.010. (Res. 86-1980. Formerly 10.04.040)
