(1) The
secretary of social and health services shall be the responsible
state officer for the administration and disbursement of all
funds, goods, commodities, and services, which may be received by
the state in connection with programs of public assistance or
services related directly or indirectly to assistance programs,
and all other matters included in the federal social security act
as amended, or any other federal act or as the same may be
amended except as otherwise provided by law.
(2) The director shall be the responsible state officer for
the administration and disbursement of funds that the state
receives in connection with the medical services programs
established under chapter 74.09 RCW, including the state
children's health insurance program, Titles XIX and XXI of the
social security act of 1935, as amended.
(3) The department and the authority, as appropriate, shall
make such reports and render such accounting as may be required
by federal law.
