Replacement certificate. (Effective until
July 1, 2011. Recodified as RCW 46.16A.190.)
If a certificate
of license registration is lost, stolen, mutilated, or destroyed
or becomes illegible, the registered owner or owners, as shown by
the records of the department, shall promptly make application
for and may obtain a duplicate upon tender of one dollar and
twenty-five cents in addition to all other fees and upon
furnishing information satisfactory to the department. The
duplicate of the license registration shall contain the legend,
"duplicate."
A person recovering an original certificate of license
registration for which a duplicate has been issued shall promptly
surrender the original certificate to the department.
