The
department, as in its judgment is deemed necessary and advisable,
may appoint one or more groundwater supervisors for each
designated groundwater area, sub-area, or zone, or may appoint
one or more groundwater supervisors-at-large. Within their
respective jurisdictions and under the direction of the
department, such supervisor and supervisors-at-large shall
supervise the withdrawal of public groundwaters and the carrying
out of orders issued by the department under the provisions of
this chapter.
The duties, compensation, and authority of such supervisors
or supervisors-at-large shall be those prescribed for water
masters under the terms of RCW 90.03.060 and 90.03.070.
