(1) If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof
to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect other provisions or applications of the chapter
which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this chapter are
declared to be severable.
(2) This uniform insurers liquidation act shall be so
interpreted and construed as to effectuate its general purpose to
make uniform the law of those states that enact it. To the
extent that its provisions, when applicable, conflict with
provisions of chapter 48.31 RCW, the provisions of this chapter
shall control.
