8.05.010 Possession, use, and discharge of fireworks prohibited on municipally owned property.
No person shall possess, discharge, set off, or cause to be discharged, in or into any municipally or publicly owned property within the City, any fireworks or explosives, as these terms are defined in RCW 70.77.126 and 70.74.010(3), respectively, or any substance harmful to the life or safety of persons, animals or property, unless so authorized by the City Manager. However, nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the lawful use of fireworks in public streets or rights-of-way. (Ord. O-02-193 § 1).
8.05.020 Violation – Penalty.
Any person who violates any provision of MVMC 8.05.010 shall be subject to a civil fine not to exceed $71.00 for a first offense. Any person who violates any provision of this section for a second time within a one-year period shall be subject to a civil fine not to exceed $250.00. For third and subsequent offenses within a one-year period, the person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. O-02-193 § 3).
