Rental of the Main Lodge includes the main floor, lower level (with bride and groom dressing rooms), mezzanine and use of the warming kitchen. In addition to the rental fee, the Lodge requires a refundable $300.00 damage deposit and an event insurance fee based on the number of guests guaranteed by the renter and whether alcohol will be served. For events booked more than 90 days in advance, a nonrefundable $350.00 reservation fee, which is credited towards your total rental, is due with a signed contract to secure a date on a permanent basis.

Lodge staff is responsible for the initial set-up and breakdown of Lodge tables and chairs. Mid-event moves or changes to the initial set-up need to be taken care of by your family, friends or caterer. One or more Lodge staff members will be on site during your event, based on the number of guests guaranteed by the renter; see additional staffing charges listed above. Clients having their ceremony at the Lodge will be granted one hour of rehearsal time, at no additional charge, on the Thursday evening prior to their wedding. Rehearsal time slots are booked on a first come first serve basis, starting at 5:00 p.m., and days can be subject to change for City holidays, City events, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. The Lodge is closed on all City holidays and Christmas Eve. New Year's Eve rentals are priced at the seasonal rates for Saturdays.

Addition of the warming kitchen to Lodge and Conference Room rentals, add $75.00. Kitchen rental based on availability and hours of rental.

Discounted rental rates are available for the following groups: 10 percent government/educational institutions; 20 percent nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3); 30 percent for community groups/greater Maple Valley tax-exempt entities with a 501(c)(3) and free use of the Wilderness and/or Cedar Rooms, when available. Discounted rates for "Seasonal" rentals of the Main Lodge, from Friday evening through Sunday, are only available for bookings made no more than 90 days prior to event date.

The Lodge is closed on all City holidays and Christmas Eve. New Year's Eve rentals of the Main Lodge will be priced at the seasonal rates for Saturdays and Conference Room rentals at the after-hours/weekend rates.

7.20.020 Fee review and modification.

The City staff shall periodically review operational costs and recommend to the City Council appropriate amendments to the regular fee schedule for reserved use of Lake Wilderness Lodge and Park. (Ord. O-07-352 § 3).

7.20.030 Rate discount discretion.

The Manager of the Lodge, upon consideration of specific requests for use of the Lodge or when bidding for contracts, shall have discretion to discount rates as follows:

A. Discounts and rate packaging with respect to requests for multiple-day, multiple-room or reccurring reservations.

B. Discounts of up to 25 percent for events scheduled less than 10 days prior to the reservation.

C. Discounts in future rates with respect to contracts bid beyond the current rate schedules. (Ord. O-07-352 § 3).

7.20.040 No alcohol.

It is unlawful to possess or consume alcoholic beverages in a City park except in the Lake Wilderness Lodge designated perimeter area when in conjunction with rental of the Lodge. (Ord. O-07-352 § 3).

7.20.050 Special charges.

A. Charges associated with cleaning, additional staffing, and special set-up will be clearly delineated on rental agreements and shall not exceed $25.00/hour per staff member.

B. Charges associated with required City-secured event insurance shall be clearly delineated on rental agreements and shall not exceed the City's actual cost for said insurance. (Ord. O-07-352 § 3).
