AMUSEMENTS AND AMUSEMENT PLACES

5.08.010 License required.
It is unlawful for any person to open, operate, conduct, manage, maintain or control or be in any manner connected with the opening, operating, conducting, management, maintenance or control of any place of amusement, entertainment or exhibition of the character specified in this chapter when the same is conducted for the purpose of profit, direct or indirect, and is open to the public, without a valid and subsisting license, to be known as an “amusement license”; provided, that no license shall be required for the operation of any place of amusement, entertainment or exhibition of the character specified in this chapter if the exclusive activities allowed are those governed by RCW 9.46.285. 5.08.020 Cash bond.
The applicant shall make a cash deposit in the sum of two hundred fifty dollars, and an undertaking that the applicant is the owner or operator of such exhibition, performance, show, entertainment, amusement or business and that such applicant will comply with the laws of the city and the state in the course of presenting his said show and will pay to the city any and all applicable excise taxes of the city as provided in Title 3, such undertaking to be in such form as may be approved by the city clerk or the city attorney, and such undertaking to provide for the return of such cash deposit upon fulfillment by the applicant of the conditions of said undertaking as herein provided by this section. 5.08.050 Skating rink.
For a skating rink the license fee shall be twenty-five dollars per year, payable annually in advance. (Ord. 295-74 Ch. 2 § 5, 1974)
5.08.060 Miniature golf course.
For a miniature golf course the license fee shall be thirty-five dollars per year, payable annually in advance. (Ord. 295-74 Ch. 2 § 6, 1974)
5.08.070 Other exhibitions or entertainments.
For all other exhibitions or public entertainments or amusements not herein specified, the license fee shall be ten dollars per day payable each day in advance. (Ord. 295-74 Ch. 2 § 7, 1974)
