CITIZENS’ ADVISORY COMMITTEE

2.93.010 Created—Purpose.
There is created a citizens’ advisory committee, the purpose of which shall be to advise the city council on matters relating to the preparation of the community’s application for Title I Funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Such advice regarding said application shall include, but not be limited to the preparation of:
A. A three-year community development plan summary which identifies community development needs, creates a comprehensive strategy to meet those needs, and specifies short and long term community development objectives;
B. A one-year community development program including activities to be undertaken with community development funds;
C. A housing assistance plan which accurately surveys housing conditions, estimates the housing needs of lower income families, specifies an annual goal of assisted housing units, and indicates the general location of proposed housing for lower income persons;
D. Methods of participation by Everett’s citizens likely to be affected by the community development activities;
E. Other application requirements as needed. (Ord. 342-74 § 1, 1974)
2.93.020 Establishment authority.
The committee shall be established pursuant to Article V of the Charter of the city. (Ord. 342-74 § 2, 1974)
