The International Existing Building Code, 2009 Edition, published by the International Code Council, as amended by the Washington State Building Code Council in Chapter 51-50 WAC, and as subsequently amended by this chapter, is hereby adopted along with Appendix Chapter A (Guidelines for the seismic retrofit of existing buildings) and Resource A (Guidelines on fire ratings of archaic materials and assemblies).
