Clark County Project Review Committee and Review Process

The Project Review Committee (PRC) was recommended in the strategic plan. It is an advisory committee to the Office of Budget and Information Services. It is designed to augment the analysis, prioritization, and support of information projects. The PRC has three functions:

  1. Recommend priorities, policies and procedures for allocation of funds available from the county technology reserve fund (also known as fund 3194).
  2. Maintain the Technology Strategic Plan.
  3. Review county technology projects for possible technology reserve funding, and ensure that projects are compatible with the county Technology Strategic Plan (TSP), and with County IS standards. The PRC template for project business case information must be completed and submitted with each project proposal, irrespective of its funding source.

The following flowchart was developed by Pacific Technologies Inc., for the strategic plan. It shows the project review process that OBIS has adopted to ensure all the stakeholders have a say in which projects are funded in what order.
