When does the law require that county commissioners be sworn into office?

Answer:

The law states only that the oath must be taken before entering upon the duties of office. RCW 36.16.040. The oath of office may be taken beginning ten days prior to the scheduled date of assuming office, which is January 1. RCW 29.04.170.
