Advanced Governmental BudgetingPresenter(s): Mike Bailey Starting with a sound financial policy foundation, this class will use the Recommended Practices of the GFOA and the work of the National Advisory Council for State and Local Budgeting to illustrate a practical approach to budgeting for local government. The class will focus on theory and policy rather than forms and format. It will review the new Budget by Priorities approach (also known as Priorities of Government) as well as other processes used by local governments to connect budgeting to performance and results.
A class exercise will help illustrate how to apply the course materials.
CPE - 7 hours Registration fee is $100 (includes lunch) Registration opens at 8:00 AM. Class begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM.
