Leadership and SupervisionPresenter(s): Connie Poulsen The role of the supervisor/manager requires effective leadership skills to carry out the organization's vision, and management skills to meet performance objectives. This seminar helps participants increase their leadership capabilities by identifying key behavioral traits necessary to lead. The day also covers communication styles, motiviation techniques, and real world situations which help managers deal with difficult employees. The session is dynamic, interactive and designed to deliver skills which can be used immediately upon return to work. It is designed to include concept presentation, group discussion, self-assessments, case studies and group exercises.
Participants will be able to:
- Understand and apply the appropriate leadership style
- Communicate more effectively to get their message across
- Understand what motivates employees and know how to use the tools to motivate them
- Be able to provide feedback and coaching to difficult employees
If there are any handouts pertaining to this class we will provide you with a link a few days after the deadline. This will give you an opportunity to preview the material in advance and save time and expense for our coordinators. No copies will be available, so please remember to print these and bring them to the class with you! CPE - 8 hours Registration fee is $100 (includes lunch) Registration opens at 7:30 AM. Class begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:00 AM.
