Federal Grant Requirements and Management (formerly Grant Management)

Presenter(s): Phillip Parks, Brad White

The course provides an overview of auditing and accounting requirements related to federal grants.

Topics include:

  1. Allowable costs/cost principles under OMB Circular A-87.
  2. Audit responsibilities under OMB Circular A-133
  3. Administrative requirements under the common rule (e.g., program income, in-kind contributions, purchase and disposition of equipment, etc.)
  4. Internal control discussion on COSO model.
  5. 14 common federal compliance requirements (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act, Sub-recipient Monitoring, Period of Availability, etc.)
  6. Preparing the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (Schedule 16).

CPE - 6 hours
Registration fee is $50 (includes lunch)
Registration opens at 8:30 AM. Class begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.
