Date: October 31, 2012
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Yakima County First Street Conference Room
Contract Types – Which Should I Use?
Selecting the appropriate contract type can sometimes be perplexing. For service contracts; is it personal, purchased, professional A/E, non A/E professional, or sole source? For construction; is it small works, limited public works, major construction, or emergency? This workshop will explore the many types of contracts and which type applies for each situation. Several scenarios will be presented for group participation. Presentation will also include service contract solicitation guidelines, and selection criteria suggestions. Handouts will consist of service contract solicitation and agreement templates, selection panel review and evaluation forms, and sample of agency authorization threshold and statute reference chart.
