MRSC to have New Contracting Agency

As part of her effort to streamline state government, Governor Gregoire proposed the elimination of a number of state boards and commissions, including the Municipal Research Council (MRC). The legislature concurred with the MRC recommendation as part of the reorganization of the Department of Commerce (HB 2658). Please note that this legislation does not in any way diminish or discontinue the services provided by the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC).

Effective July, 2010 the oversight of our contract with the Municipal Research Council will be transferred to the Department of Commerce. We expect to continue to deliver high quality timely services to which you have become accustomed.
