Introduction
On November 17, 2006, the Washington State Building Code Council (Council) voted to adopt the 2006 Editions of the national models codes, with some changes to the proposed amendments previously noted. The Council also adopted changes to the Washington State Energy Code and Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code for the 2006 Editions. The new codes go into effect on July 1, 2007. See the Washington State Building Code Council Web site for details.
A few of the ordinance received by MRSC appear below as samples from Washington cities and counties as they adopt the new Building Codes (I-Codes) and new fee schedules (which are not included in the new I-Codes).
